Cancellation and Refund Policy - Consultation Lesson

Please understand that appointment times are limited. If you must cancel your appointment, we respectfully request 7 days notice.

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance of the session date will receive a 100% refund.* 
  • Cancellations made within 2 – 6 days in advance of the session date will not receive a refund but will be able to re-book at no extra cost.**
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session time will not receive a refund.

Terms & Conditions of Piano Lessons with Piano Tuition Manchester – September 2024 Update

  1. Lesson Reservation and Attendance

Our service provides a term of piano lessons for students to reserve and attend the same lesson time slot on a weekly basis during the term time.

  1. Cancellation Policy

When signing up for a term of lessons, students are expected to attend every lesson during the term at their agreed-upon day and time. If you need to reschedule a lesson, you must provide at least one week’s notice.

  • Lesson Rescheduling: With one week’s notice, you may be able to reschedule the cancelled lesson to another available time slot within the same week. Please note that this depends on tutor availability.
  • Postponement and Deductions: It is not possible to postpone a cancelled lesson to a future date, week, or term. Additionally, missed lessons cannot be deducted from future invoices.
  • Tutor Availability: If your assigned tutor has no availability during the week of the cancellation, we will do our best to fit you in with another tutor. However, re-arrangement for missed lessons cannot be guaranteed and will depend on tutor availability.
  1. Tutor Absences

In the event of a tutor’s unforeseen absence, we will, in the first instance, provide tuition with another available tutor to ensure minimal disruption to your course of study. If it is not possible to arrange lessons with another tutor or reschedule, you will be credited for the missed lesson(s) to be used in the future or refunded for the missed lesson(s).

  1. Recouping Missed Lessons

In the event that you are unable to attend lessons due to pre-planned holiday absences, you are entitled to make up for a maximum of two missed lessons within the calendar year. These rescheduled lessons can be arranged during the Christmas break and the summer break. To qualify for these makeup lessons, kindly ensure you give advance notice during the initial week of the term and engage in a discussion with your tutor to confirm the availability for rescheduling.

  1. Additional Holiday Lessons

If you wish to schedule additional lessons during holidays, please discuss the available options with your tutor. Availability may vary throughout the year and among tutors. The cancellation policy for additional lessons during holidays remains the same as in term time.

  1. Leaving Notice

If you decide to discontinue lessons, you must provide a minimum of four weeks’ notice before your last scheduled lesson. This helps us minimise wasted lesson slots. Please note that refunds cannot be given for lessons not attended during these final weeks.

  1. Invoices and Payment

The lesson rates starting from September 2024 are listed below.

  • 30 Minute One-One Lesson: £21
  • 45 Minute One-One Lesson: £29
  • 60 Minute One-One Lesson: £38

Invoices for lessons will be sent out by email on the first day of each month for monthly payments and during the week before each term or half-term for termly and half-termly payments. All invoices should be settled within 14 days of the invoice date.
